I received a call not too long after submitting my application. Short phone call with basic questions and scheduled me to come into the office (I lived in Houston at the time). The interview was mainly with the internal recruiter and then the president later on, in total took about an hour and a half I think and I felt really good about it. They called me a few days later and asked me to come back to Austin for a final round interview. The recruiter told me prior I would interview with the team leader and then shadow for an hour or two with some of the people I would be working with. When I got to the interview it was nothing like that. I sat in a room and what seemed like endless white (almost all British) men came in one after another, made it kind of seem like there was no communication/plan for this interview really and they were just grabbing whoever available. I was off-put by the change of plan for the interview with no communication, but I rolled with it. By the time the fifth (unplanned) white man came in to interview me, I was getting slightly annoyed, and by the end of the interview, he asked me what his name was and I could not remember his name (just the four men before and every other person I've met there) and it ends on a really bad note, obviously and understandingly. But it gets worse. One of the original interviewers comes back and begins interviewing me again, ends by basically admonishing me for mentioning that I would find moral value/reward in this job (I specifically said "helping people find jobs and companies innovate would add a morally rewarding aspect to this job". He goes on a rant about how the first 3-6 months of the job I would be required to sell fake job ads to 200-500 people to get their references and build my book. While I am aware you need to implement creative techniques to build your book in the first year, this is not how you do it. He felt the need to emphasize the unethicality of it blatantly. He was literally trying to warn me, it was weird to say the least. He even felt the need to draw out a diagram so I could "understand" how they build books using fake job ads- using the example of creating a fake Facebook job ad. I have friends and relatives that work at much larger Austin/Houston recruiting firms and they all were stunned at my story of the interview. Regardless, after that, the interview ended and the recruiter came back, said she had a good feeling, they were all going to meet right after, make a decision and she would call me tonight or in the morning. I knew this was not a company I wanted to work for, however, I was curious if they were going to make an offer and my relocation to Austin was occurring soon. I did not hear from her for a week and she did not answer an email sent to her. I hear nothing. After driving up there twice to interview for hours.. Weeks later she calls me randomly and says that they are making decisions this week to hire more entry-level, I told her I was not interested. Very bizarre interview and company. It seems like a gentlemen's club that has barely got an ethical or effective foundation to stand on.

They first have an over the phone interview that is pretty informal, a more get to know you and why you are interested in recruiting. Then they have you come into the office for an in person interview, but they were great and the interview was pretty standard questions. They want to know your motivators and why you want to be a recruiter and what you would bring to the table.

First I received a call from their recruiter. The conversation was pleasant and lasted about 30 minutes. At the end of the call she scheduled a time for me to go in office and interview with a manager and one of their lead sales associates. The interview process was easy and straightforward.

After finding my resume on Indeed, Hannah Bates reached out to me and we spoke on the phone three times in two days. She then scheduled my 1:1 interview with Simon Dodd, the Sales team manager in Austin, TX that same week.

The night before the interview, I did my research on this company by navigating through their website. I read through several Glassdoor reviews on this company, different interview experiences people had, and previous employee testimonies.

I later found that all the negative reviews I read on here, were spot- on.

Going into the office, I did not see a single woman in there. There were only men sitting in their open-space desks and I noticed sales targets written all over their white boards. Simon came in the room and conducted the interview. His approach was not friendly or welcoming, but rather short. He was respectful, however and asked standard "about yourself" questions, and my past sales experience. He made it a point to reiterate how fast-paced and sales oriented this job is, and that employees usually work long hours- which is fine.

It's been ten days since the interview, and I have not heard back from either Hannah or Simon.

I took the liberty to email her after five days, and no reply.

It is extremely disrespectful not to respond to someone who took time out of their day to not only do research on a company, but reserve a couple hours out of their day to attend an interview, and not follow up.

Although I didn't just expect a job offer, because I understand that not every candidate is a fit, I did expect to at least hear back to know that my time was appreciated.

I find it ironic that towards the end of the interview, Simon asked if I had any additional questions, to which I responded "Assuming that I hear back from you, what would be the next step?" He answered immediately, "Of course you will hear back from us, regardless. It would be unprofessional not to." - and yet here we are.

If this a representation of how this company handles situations, I am glad I did not get a job offer.

This made all negative ROC Search reviews on Glassdoor gain credibility.

Moving forward, I strongly advice you to take the responsible and respectful way about turning a candidate down.

They advertise this position as an entry level position but then every job that you have on your resume isn't good enough and then grill you on every job. The hot shot British guy grills you and draws all over your resume. He's very arrogant. I contemplated leaving in the middle of the interview and really wish I had. They expect you to work 24/7 for 35k a year. It's a good ole boys club. There's only men that work there.

After applying online I received a call and was asked about my background and past experience and the given a detailed description of the position. Had an in-person interview at the office a couple days later.

I met with the founder of the company during my interview who was very professional, and up front about what the position would be.

The whole process could not have been easier and Hannah was in contact with me throughout to ensure I had all the information I needed, even responding to questions I had after her normal work hours.

Had a really wonderful interview process. One of the most, clear, concise companies I've spoken to in my search.
The internal recruiter was very friendly, and really made you feel comfortable. One thing they really look for is if you'll be sales driven- so make that apparent.
I really thought I had it in the bag, but didn't get an offer unfortunately. If you get a chance to interview here- take it. You won't regret it.
