J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez ReliaQuest (Tampa, FL) en janv. 2022

3 week-long interview process. All went very well until the final interview. The final interviewers did not value my passion for cyber security nor excitement towards working with the company. The interviewers proceeded to ask three curveball technical interview questions that were not included in the provided study material. I understand that final interviews are supposed to be there to weed out the weak, but i feel that a recruiter should not point you in the wrong direction, maybe try to help the candidate acquire the position instead. The recruiter gave me false hope by sending relocation package information all for the final interviewers to flunk me based on my "internet connection." What is interesting is that they do a technical interview before the final interview, yet still resort back to asking technical interview questions in the final interview.... Weird.. Why even have a technical interview in the first place if the vetting will only happen after you get your hopes up and waste more time.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear the interview process did not meet your expectations, and we will be taking this into consideration as we continue to better our hiring processes. We wish you the best in your future interviews!

The interview process felt unnecessarily complicated and had too many layers of people involved. I first had a phone screen, then multiple technical interviews, followed by behavioral interviews, and finally a panel interview. Each step repeated similar questions.

Question 1
One question I was asked was, “What are insecure ports and why do they pose a risk to an organization’s security?”

Incredibly hard for just a 70k position. Included a 4 round interview process along with a 25 question quiz. You would think at the last round with the managers, it would be a welcoming interview but absolutely not.

They. asked me about my background and some technical questions about the red team/blue team. Offensive vs. defensive security. Commonly used ports on computers. Web-based browser attacks. Common types of malware. Once you get past the recruiter you need to take a 25-question technical test. The questions below were what were displayed on the technical test.

Question 1
A screen displayed with a Windows event log or process viewer. They asked to identify the suspicious activity. There were a ton of processes running within the viewer varying widely. I'm sure a lot of it was common processes on a computer and others not so much.
An image displayed of a Linux configuration terminal. There was a long string of random numbers and letters. The question was to identify what type of attack was going on in the terminal. There was some type of command above the string of characters but I can't remember.
there were multiple post/get request https pages. There was a lot of random information that I didn't know. A user name was also called bad actor or something spread within the request.
There were multiple network topologies displayed. So it showed a router connected to a switch and host devices. The three host pc were red saying they had been infected. The question was to find out why the pcs were all infected.
JSYK the test was extremely difficult for this level of a job. They said they were hiring new grads but if you haven't been a role like this your screwed unless your a technical genius. They lied
