All I can say is this, the overall interview was okay I have been interviewed by better recruiters. First off she was late, she didn’t call on time that’s unprofessional, Second she didn’t ask not one questions that allowed me to explain my education or background, in the middle of the convo she ask about pay like ma’am you didn’t ask me anything, then she asked the behavioral questions, she explain what was entail and how she would ask the questions, I’m thinking okay since it’s a story the listener should be following along and asking me questions as I speak because she’s interested in what I’m saying, not tell me the entire question at one time. She only asked me three star questions that’s not enough to know about your candidate. Star question should be designed around the idea of what makes this candidate a superstar. asking me how to prioritize is not going to help you find that person just a body who needs a pay check and will quit in a year.

    The process was very lengthy and invasive. It started with a 30 minute phone screen with a recruiter in Ohio and then my resume was passed down to the manager stationed in yet another state. A second recruiter scheduled a two back-to-back in person interviews. While waiting to interview for a week, I had to consent to a background check, which I found to be rather ridiculous and invasive because I hadn't even interviewed and who knows whether or not I would receive job offer. The HireSmart place reached out to me to send them W2s for a job which should have been extremely easy to verify. Why did I have to do their job for them? The in-person interview causes anxiety because they ask a bunch of Star method questions. I did my very best in the moment as it is very hard to come up with superhero scenarios at the drop of a hat. Maybe I didn't stick completely to the method and that ruined my chances. I have no idea what went wrong because I left feeling pretty confident. I sent my follow-up thank you email without a response. A week after interviewing I got a no thanks email without a clue as to why they weren't moving forward to me. I did not appreciate them doing a background check on me before an interview. It feels wrong and totally backwards. I probably wasted over four or five hours of my time filling out their applications and doing their interviews. If I had known it was going to be like this I would not have even bothered. Don't waste your time. This processes causes a lot of anxiety and is not normal practice.

    I applied online and was contacted by e-mail to schedule a telephone interview. The interview questions were read to me like a script. The interviewer took notes as I spoke so there were a number of pauses while she completed her notes. The entire process seemed very impersonal.

    The interview process was very long and unnecessary since they were going to hire within. The Lead Manager was very good but the questions asked for the particular job seemed to be over the top and unnecessary.

    The HR representative that called me seemed uninterested and borderline rude. This is the first negative review I have left on a public platform ever. I was so excited at the prospect of becoming a member of the Progressive team until I spoke with this person. I ended the interview early. She seemed uninterested in I could tell she was not engaging in the conversation by the number of times I had to repeat myself.
