Spent 45 minutes on the initial phone screening, they did all the talking. Desperately tried to play-up the company since their salaries are low compared to local tech companies competing for the same talent pool.
I actually ended up interviewing for a second position after being interviewed and rejected from the first, and was ghosted. It took them a whole month to send a cookie-cutter rejection email. From first phone call to actual rejection email was nearly 2 full months.
Pro tip: if they ask you to create multiple powerpoints and a VDR, get them to sign an invoice first. Don't do their work for free.
Also, they're not WFH at the moment, which is a big downside to me.
And they want business formal in their video interviews, which is downright bizarre for a predominantly blue-collar, west coast company.
