    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Dallas, TX (États-Unis)
    Aucune offre d'embauche
    Expérience positive
    Difficulté moyenne

    Candidature

    Entretien

First I had to complete a pre-employment exam followed by an exploratory call. Once I did those, an onsite interview was scheduled to meet the team. While onsite I did a coding challenge on a whiteboard with my future manager and HR Talent Recruiter present.

    Entretien de Senior Product Manager

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme
    Aucune offre d'embauche
    Expérience négative

    Candidature

    Entretien

Series of interviews that spanned over 2 months. Several reschedules at the last minute or no show of the interviewer. Once all interviews concluded, I was asked to wait for some additional interviews as I was the top candidate. Upon completion of all interviews, I had to wait for a long period of time. HR told me that decision makers need to consult and at last minute they revealed that there is another candidate they are considering and will let me know by a certain date. That time passed and upon follow ups, I was told that I was not selected without any reason.

Your comments spark some specific ideas, and if you have other ideas that you’d like to share, please reach out to me directly at delanie.campbell@medecision.com.

A very long and somewhat disjointed interview process. While their Talent Acquisition team is excellent, it appears that they have little say in the overall direction of the interview/selection process. Clearly, there is lack of communication between the executive team and the TA group.

And while the interview process makes little sense, it does give the candidate insight into the company and it's structure. Senior client representatives and executives mulling over this organization would be well advised to "tread lightly" and consider all of their options before accepting an offer here. Frustrations are apt to follow those that go forward, as trust and confidence by the senior executive will not be forthcoming.

    Entretien de Solutions Marketing Director

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Dallas, TX (États-Unis)
    Aucune offre d'embauche
    Expérience négative
    Entretien facile

    Candidature

    Entretien

I applied for this position and within a few days, I was contacted by an internal recruiter who said there was also a manager role as well. I told him I was only interested in the director role. He asked me standard interview questions and asked me what my target compensation amount was. He then said he would present me to the hiring manager who was VP of Marketing. Within a few days, i was interviewing with the VP. The interview was really laid back, more like a conversation. He didn't really ask many questions, just talked about Medecision and seemed honest about the bad reviews. Sounded to me like a good company just going through a rough spot. It was honestly one of the best interviews I've ever had. He asked me which position I was interested in, and I AGAIN said the director one. He ended the interview by saying, "I really like you a lot.
I even interviewed you out-of-turn, I was so excited about your resume. I will tell the recruiter to schedule an interview for you with my boss, the CMO after we get back from HiMSS." A few days later, I got a phone call from the recruiter. He said, "[Hiring manager] really enjoyed your conversation, but he thinks you are not qualified for the position." I was truly taken aback. Why end the interview with a promise to go on to the next step if I wasn't even qualified?? The recruiter asked if I was interested in the manager role, and in my daze, I said "maybe". I was pretty upset, but I reached out to the hiring manager on LinkedIn and said, "I enjoyed our conversation, thank you for your time, and I hope you find a good fit for the position." Immediately after I clicked send, I sent an email to the recruiter to tell him I was NOT interested in the manager position and I apologize for the hasty answer on the phone. I ended the email wishing him well in finding a good fit. About a week later, the recruiter called to ask if I wanted to move on to the next step in the process. He said, "Don't worry, I'll make sure everyone is on the same page with the position you want." I said, "Sure". About 20 minutes later, I got an email from his assistant attempting to schedule me for the MANAGER POSITION. I emailed them all this time: the assistant, the recruiter and the hiring manager: I AM NOT INTERESTED IN THE MANAGER POSITION. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU ALL. It wasn't in all caps in the email, but it was in all caps in my head. I am SO not interested in ANY position with Medecision. The Glassdoor comments were a red flag, but I wanted to give them a chance. Growing companies have growing pains, I get it, but I'm really turned off.

    Entretien de Manager, Client Communications

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Wayne, PA (États-Unis)
    Aucune offre d'embauche
    Expérience neutre
    Entretien dificile

    Candidature

    Entretien

Extensive interview process - I had gone through six interviews (four 30-60 minute phone interviews along with two in-person interviews), and was told that I could expect three more on top of this. Twice I met with people in person who I already had spoken with over the phone, with no real purpose for this second interview.

I was excited about this opportunity and the multiple interviews helped me better understand the organizational culture. But it seemed excessive overall, particularly when I was told after six interviews and more than a week of waiting that I was over-qualified for the position. This seems like the kind of observation one could make earlier in the interview process (maybe by interview #3?) and left a bad taste in my mouth.

The recruiter and HR staff I worked with were very responsive and accommodating. The interviews themselves were light and conversational, less focused on behavioral interview questions and more on the job responsibilities and my own experience.

I enjoyed the process but the ultimate outcome was disappointing and made me question if it had all been worth the time. I would have rated this overall experience as negative had I not been for the friendly Medecision employees I interacted with over this two month period.

    Entretien de Event Marketing Manager

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Dallas, TX (États-Unis)
    Aucune offre d'embauche
    Expérience positive
    Entretien dificile

    Candidature

    Entretien

The six weeks process started with the standard phone screening, followed by an in person interview with a team member, followed by two additional phone interviews with management and senior leadership and finally a half day of in person interviews with the marketing team, management and senior leadership. Throughout the process it was obviously that this is a company that cares about it's culture and finding the right person for the job, rather than just finding a body to fill out space. Even though they decided to pursue other candidates, I was grateful for the opportunity and valuable feedback I received during/after the interview process.

    Questions d'entretien d'embauche

    • None of the interview questions were "standard/typical" interview questions. Almost all of my interviews flowed like a thoughtful conversation rather than what you would think of a typical interview.

    Entretien

    1. Phone screens with multiple members of the existing team and HR personnel
    2. In person 1:1 interviews that focused specifically on the role description and the work done in the company.
    3. A group interview that implicitly tested my experience with respect to the job requirements.
    4. Case study/homework assignment to specifically test my thinking/approach to problem solving
    5. 1:1 phone interviews with the members of the executive leadership team

    Questions d'entretien d'embauche

    • The interview was much more of a dialogue, rather than a pointed Q and A. Interviewers certainly evaluated the depth and complexity of my questions to them and gauged my level of preparation/understanding of the company's product and functions of the role.   Répondre à cette question

    Candidature

    Entretien

Recruiter showed no depth or understanding of the position, couldn't articulate the reporting relationship, organizational structure, goal of the position, articulate how the role fit in the strategy and had an overall significant level of incompetence. Suggested my questions were valid and that she would find answers. No other candidate asked these questions. How is that possible? Who are they looking at? How does she not have any real insight into the role.

One of the worst interviewers I've encountered. Have they read Top Grading?

    Questions d'entretien d'embauche

    • No tough questions. She had no answers to logical and important questions on my end.   1 réponse
