The interview process has been excellent, and very thorough. I was put through my paces by a number of members of the leadership team but at all times, I found them polite, fair and accommodating. Interviews can be a stressful situation but I found this an enjoyable experience. I was pleased to see the energy and enthusiasm in some of the answers to my questions, and I think the panel did an excellent job of selling the job role and the company to me. Thanks everyone for making me feel comfortable throughout, and to the talent acquisition team, who have been excellent.

3 part interview: 1 with HR and 2 two on one with supervisors and other employees. One call made me extremely uncomfortable. HR screen was pleasant and the woman I talked with was lovely. Their process for scheduling calls was smooth. The 2:1’s were heavily based on situational questions, which is completely fine. However, one of the 2:1 calls made me extremely uncomfortable. They asked prodding questions about my current position and company, my company’s workflow, and even went as far as to ask about analytics/specific numbers and other information which I’m not sure I should be legally asked in an interview. I understand curiosity about other companies, but this made me feel used and as the interviewee. They were far more interested in what information I could give them about my company than what I could bring to McCormick. This interview put me in a difficult position where I could not answer many of their questions because they asked something so specific, I did not think I should answer it. The interview felt off when I was in it, and it took me a little while after to process how poorly it had gone because I couldn’t fathom how invasive the call was. I would appreciate if somewhere in their interview pipeline that they could provide their salary range. My expectations were within range, but I was hoping to find a more concrete answer along the way. 2/3 calls were pleasant, but that one completely soured my experience. It makes me glad I’m not being offered this position because I would fear being used for more information.

I applied online early March 2022 and after a few days I received an email to set a 20 minute phone discussion. This consisted of a discussion on position interest and the organization. I was then told my answers would be forwarded to the director and if favorable, I would interview with her and another HR team member. Very nice conversation I may add. After approx. 5 days, I was deemed successful to move onto the next round. They then scheduled me for a video interview. The interview was a combination of situational and behavioral questions. I was very thorough & transparent. All went well to my knowledge, I even had a few questions pre-written, they answered them and I was sure this would be a go. After a few more days, I received a rejection email. I will say that their process is pretty fast for such big employer. On the other hand, given their interest in me, I am not sure why I got rejected but hey everything happens for a reason!

The entire interview process was very organized and systematic. Interview process consisted of five rounds of interviews; Recruiter phone screen, hiring manager, director, SVP, and HR business partner. Entire process lasted about 4 weeks.

The first step was an introductory call with Talent Acquisition followed by an interview with the hiring manager. I was also able to meet with several members of the team and had an interview with HR. All interviews and calls were conducted via Microsoft Teams.

A lot of situation questions. Almost all the questions require you to describe a situation where there was a specific problem and you will have to answer how you handled the situation
