Applied online and received an e-mail a couple of days later inviting me to a hiring party in 2 weeks for an hour just before the store opened to the public. When I arrived, there were roughly 10-15 girls there and with the store being small, it was very crowded.

We started off with making nametags and writing down our availability and turning that in. Afterwards, we all stood in a "circle" with several girls (including me) having to stand in the way back and being pretty much invisible to management because there were way too many people in one small store. We went around the room and answered some icebreaker questions and then were separated into two groups.

The first group had a lead staff member demonstrate a massage bar onto one of the girls and then had us volunteer to do it on each other one by one and make up conversation just to sort of simulate would sort of be like on the floor with an actual customer. I was one of the first to volunteer to go first, so I spent 30-40 minutes watching other people awkwardly demo products onto one another and then gradually improve because they picked up on the staff's comments for other people's demo's, so naturally my first demonstration was crap compared to the last girl's. During this time, I noticed people were being pulled to the side to interview with the manager so I was hoping I'd get my time soon.

After both groups were done, we switched stations and demonstrated a scrub onto each other, but then I noticed people were starting to pick out bath bombs and leaving the store and our group wasn't even done. I asked the manager if time ran out for 1 on 1 interviews and she said yeah and that some people were applying for higher management positions, so they wanted to prioritize their interviews first. I said okay, grabbed my bomb and went out a little bit peeved because I was wholly expecting a 1 on 1 interview during the hiring party like the reviews I've read on here. I ended up getting an email the next day saying they considered other people, so I appreciate that they at least tell me I didn't make it.

It was a fun environment and I'm thankful for the free product as compensation for my time, but it felt like they invited too many people into the store at one time and not allowing other people to shine through and sell themselves fairly. I feel pretty bummed out because I wanted to work at this company and I even wrote a genuine cover letter to express my interest for this job and how I'd be a great candidate and was prepared to ace the actual inteview, but that didn't work out, so. I'd love to try to apply to this company again, but this experience really bummed me out and I don't know if that's what's going to happen again if I try again in the future despite my experience and genuine interest to work for the company.

    Entretien de Seasonal Sales Associate

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris une semaine. J'ai passé une entrevue à Lush (Orlando, FL (États-Unis)) en novembre 2017.

    Entretien

I applied online through indeed and was called about a week later by the manager who asked me a few questions then she asked me to come in for a group interview. It was really laid back, I was in a group of about 5 with one of the sales associates doing a shower demo for us. We took turns demoing on each other. It was kind of like an after hours social event. While we were taking turns practicing how to demo products, another team member was calling us aside one by one and just asking a few simple questions before joining the group again. After the group interview I was called back for an interview one on one with the store manager. It was the same idea with the shower demo, but just me and the manager. She asked if I was comfortable touching strangers and massing their arms with different products and she just got to know me a little more. It was a laid back no-pressure experience all around. A few days later I got a call back with a job offer.

    Entretien de Seasonal Sales Associate

    Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé une entrevue à Lush (Garden City, NY (États-Unis)) en octobre 2017.

    Entretien

I applied online and they emailed me right away with a confirmation that they got my email. After a day or two they sent me an email for a "hiring party" and that I had to bring a resume. It's not really a party it's just a gruop interview, they start off with icebreakers then they have you test out the products on eachother and act as if you where going to sell it to the other applicant you're showing the product to. After that they go over the rules and tell you all about the store and when they have training set up all that great sruff.

I was so excited to have been invited to the hiring party. I am a shy person, but I made sure to push past that as best I could that day. I wore something that was fun and made me stand out, although I've heard that in subsequent interviews candidates had to wear black and white. I went and we started off in one big group. We passed around a lump of clay and we each took turns telling something about ourselves and adding to the lump of clay. We then broke into smaller groups (3-4 people) and were introduced to a product, that we then demoed on each other. From there, we each got individually pulled aside for an interview.

    Entretien de Assistant Store Manager

    Candidat à l'entretien anonyme - Philadelphia, PA (États-Unis)
    Pas d’offre d’emploi
    Expérience neutre
    Entretien dificile

    Entretien

Process started with an online video interview, then a severer shop, then a phone interview with HR and a face to face interview in store with the store manager and market manager. A very smooth process from start to end, if not a little long (3-4 weeks between steps). After the final interview I was told a decision would be made within a week; 2 weeks later I was told by the end of the month; by the end of the month I was told I would have an update "soon". This has been a 3 month process and I still do not have a definitive answer.

    Entretien de Sales Ambassador

Employé anonyme - Destin, FL (États-Unis)
    Offre acceptée
    Expérience positive
    Entretien facile

    Candidature

J'ai postulé via une recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé une entrevue à Lush (Destin, FL (États-Unis)) en février 2017.

    Entretien

The interview process was a lot of fun. It is done in groups at Lush either before or after hours. They show you demos of different products and allow you to attempt demos on echoer to kind of get a feel for what being an employee entails. While this is happening, the manager or MIT will take one or two people at at time and ask regular interview questions and have you fill out an availability form. You will then potentially be called back for a culture hour, which happens during business hours. It's kind of a more personal experience with the manager/MIT on the floor so they can get a chance to know you a little better and you can see what it's like working there. It is a one-on-one experience with the manager/MIT so no need to worry about talking to customers! Make sure to show up in compliance to the dress code (Black and white, closed toed shoes. No grey, no crop tops, shoes/accessories can be any color!) to both the hiring party and the culture hour!

    Entretien de Seasonal Sales Associate

Employé anonyme - Albany, NY (États-Unis)
    Offre acceptée
    Expérience neutre
    Entretien dificile

    Candidature

J'ai postulé en personne. Le processus a pris +2 semaines. J'ai passé une entrevue à Lush (Albany, NY (États-Unis)) en octobre 2016.

    Entretien

The first step is a "Hiring Party" which involves learning product ingredients, stories, and uses, having said products demonstrated on you, and then demonstrating them back on other folks who are interviewing and Sales Ambassadors. After that, each person is interviewed by a manager, assistant manager or Senior Sales Associate.

If you are chosen from the Hiring Party, you come in and do a 'Culture Hour' which is a one-on-one version where several products are demoed on you, and you demo them back on a Senior Sales Associate (or higher), while you chat and they ask questions.
