Was a phone interview since I was unable to be interviewed in person. Two or three people on a panel asking both general questions and specific job-related questions. Rapid fire questions involving identifying bird and plant species.
- Rapid fire questions where picture of a bird or plant species was shown and I had to identify.

I applied online via the State of Louisiana website and was called in for an interview. It was incredibly difficult to find the particular office on the state website-- I assume due to the sensitivity of the work, as the work is with damage assessment for the MS horizon oil spill. Upon interview, I learned that the hiring team could tell me little to answer my questions because everything was "tied-up in litigation." I tried to call several times to gain feedback on my interview, but my call was never returned.
- What is SCAT? I was very surprised to hear a question about an acronym. I understand the purpose is to determine whether someone researched the position, but when simple details such as the location of the office is difficult to find online, I don't see how they could expect someone to know a very job-specific acronym.
