door sales, I would not have followed through. I was on my feet from 1pm-8pm and didn't get The first interview went really well - the receptionist was very helpful and friendly and the manager was very bubbly and she presented the information and goals for the company quite well. What I didn't like was that I was not told the second stage 'consultation' training day involved door to door sales. Those of us who made it through had been informed via email that we would not get paid for this day but had I have known it was going to be unpaid doing door to sales I wouldn't have gone ahead. I wasn't impressed that we had to pay for our own lunch... I think as a sales company who are doing really well and are requesting trainees to come on board for an 11.30am-9pm day of unpaid training, they should be able to cover for our lunch. Not only that, but those of us who made it to the second stage were told to come by 11.30am. We were sat there for an hour until the day started! I'm someone who likes to be on time and having to wait for others when I'm on time is really frustrating. I met some really great people but I just wasn't impressed by how things were explained in terms of the training day. I think it's always better to be upfront so you're not wasting people's time. Even though it was an experience, I felt like my day was wasted. I could have been at my paid job and earning money! I wish I would have been informed of the door to door sales because like I said, I wouldn't have come in to not get paid to do that... I think for feedback you really need to be upfront about what is involved in training days because it isn't fair to waste people's time. I heard that one girl from the successful candidates had decided to get an Uber home halfway through the day. I was very tempted to myself once my gut was telling me it wasn't for me. Be honest because those who have a clear idea of the role can decide whether it really is for them before they go ahead to the second stage.
