Friendly initial screen with the head of recruiting who talked about the urgent needs, standard interview questions for this role.
Said I would hear back one way or the other and I quote "For sure by the end of the week" and I never heard from her again.
Ghosting needs to stop being tolerated in the industry. I know the ATS system the company uses - most recruiters do- and you can send a generic automated rejection to every candidate you aren't moving forward with at once. They simply choose not to do that. It's even more disappointing as a recruiter to find out this is tolerated from a role you were interviewing for at a company you had interest in.
I bet it would stop if every candidate companies did this to left a review about it.
