    The interviewer was very nice, and the questions are very standard Facebook questions. Anyone with a business analyst background should answer with no problem. The bummer is that the recruiter called me 3 hours before my onsite saying that my interview was cancelled because they have reached a global headcount.

    My interview experience at Facebook was overwhelmingly positive. The process took about 4 weeks from start to offer.
    1st round: phone screen with recruiter
    2nd round: video screen with hiring manager
    3rd round: 4 back-to-back interviews over video conference with my hiring manager, his manager, my peer, and a cross-functional partner

    The interview process went very quickly because I had another offer that I was able to leverage for speed. My recruiter was awesome - she responded promptly to each of my emails and also sent me a 7 page deck to help prep me for my interviews. I have never seen something like this before and greatly appreciated that my interviewers were not trying to trick me but rather wanted to get a good sense for my experience.

    A helpful tip that a friend & current FB employee told me - FB really values candidates who embody their values, so I read through the company's values and made sure to weave them in when talking about my experience. I could tell this really resonated with my interviewers.

    Am a top-tier player in the business and got pinged by a recruiter for a position that was a little junior, but appeared to potentially pay better than what I was making when stock was included.

    Was a little worried because I'd been ghosted by Facebook recruiters during discussions in the past, but this one was very good.

    Went through a screening interview with hiring manager and had a good conversation; after a couple of video interviews with remote employees

    I got a sheepish call back from the recruiter claiming I don't have cross-functional experience (which even a cursory look at my resume shows is a rather silly thing to say). One literally could not do the things I've done without extensive cross-functional work styles, and a former colleague laughed out loud when I told him of this statement.

    They "assessed" this alleged shortcoming in 2 interviews of 30 minutes in duration on a video call, the second of which was more like 25 mins because the interviewer was late.

    Historically, I've assessed candidates' capabilities in interviews with peers and references, especially before making a sweeping statement as they did, but this wasn't done. Weird.

    Overall a bit of a waste of time, but given the recent negative publicity about the brand and its support for questionable advertising, I suspect I dodged a bullet.

    Sent LinkedIn invitations to the people who interviewed me after receiving a rejection and none accepted; kinda weird. Reinforced my perception of bullet-dodging; I usually accept invitations from individuals I've interviewed in my role, even if they're rejected.

    Had a quick phone to go over my background.

    Followed with 1 tech screen. However, during my video chat tech screen, my interviewer was more interested in his work than the actual interview.

    So he never answered any questions, ignored my 90% of the time, and then just left. Overall the tech-screen was the worst interview process I have ever gone through and couldn't get any advice on how to proceed.

    My recruiter/coordinator was fantastic, sadly not much help when it came to addressing the above concern. Kind of sucks to get rejected when it wasn't entirely your fault.

    Very technical interview. Completed a data analysis and then was invited to in person interview. Interviewers were friendly and asked about past experiences. Interviewed with multiple people on the team. Recruiter was very responsive. Last round was a 1 on 1 interview with director.

    There are two 45 mins sections for coding interviews. Another simple coding problem in the behavioral interview round. If you prepare 200 Leetcode problems under the Facebook tag, you should be able to crush the coding problems. For system design and ML design, I think I did average on ML design and bad on system design. That's probably why I got rejection.

    The overall interview process is good. The only thing I'm not happy with is the ML design part, there is no question asked on the ML fundamentals at all.

    I didn't get past the screening because I had 2-3 years more experience than required, even though I meet all the criteria for the position. My screening went well, but the hiring manager rejected me before I got to the first video interview because I have a different amount of experience than they are looking for. I really don't want to have to lie on my resume just to get to the position where a manager can see if I'm a good fit. There are a lot of good employees over 35 and a lot of employees who are stuck in their ways at 25.

    There's way too much ageism in your company. The worst part is; I have a lot of male friends who have the same level experience who got the same type of position I was going for in the first try, but all the women I know had to apply over 2 years to finally get someone to look at them. For a company that focuses on inclusion, experienced women are hired with much more scrutiny than men do. You need to take a look at how you're hiring. Your teams can have a good diverse split, but if the teams consist of men with more experience and the majority of the women have less experience, then it still reinforces the stereotype that a good female employee doesn't threaten the men on the team. You need to focus more on the ability to do the job and train your team to be more fair in the hiring process.

    I see that after a few weeks, you had to post for this position again. Maybe if you would interview someone over 30, you could find someone with the qualifications you're looking for.
