    Entretien

    Applied online through my university job site, was emailed a few days later on a Friday inviting me to submit a video interview by Sunday at 5PM. They would flash a question on the screen for 30seconds and you had 3 minutes to respond with 10 tries at each question. Was contacted a week later to be invited for a face to face OCI.

    Two Interviews - 30 minute behavioral and 30 minute case. The behavioral interview was traditional, most of the questions were basic and personality/experience oriented. The case portion was relatively simple - identifying red flags in an organization that was described.

    Very lengthy process, took weeks to get to the on-site interview stage. Positive experience with the recruiter and team. The assessment requires a bit of prep. The case interview was not too bad.

    The recruiting process started through campus recruiting. If you get accepted, you will go through a behavioral interview on campus. Following that, a subsequent interview will take place at the office. All questions are behavioral.

    Amongst the big 4, EY has the most unprofessional recruiters and unorganized recruiting process. Was contacted to interview over the phone. The interviewer was unprepared because he confused me with a student from a rival school and had to look for my resume for a good 2 minutes while I was waiting on the other line. The recruiters never respond to emails. Compared to the other big 4's recruiters and recruiting processes, EY tends to hire based on diversity and do not hire the smartest or the most competent people.

    The interviewer was a manager and was told through word of mouth that he had his favorites and had no intention of hiring anyone else. The interview was a waste of time. He did not introduce himself and responded very curtly when I tried to talk about myself. He wanted to avoid all personal information and wanted me to answer his generic questions.

    Also, to this day, I never got an email after that phone interview. There was no email notifying me of any sort of result.

    I first applied through school and on their website earlier in the year. About a month and a half later, I received an email saying that I had made it to the first round and another with an invite to their pre-interview social the night before. The first round interview was conversational for the majority and it seemed as if the interviewer wanted to get to know you. About 2-3 weeks later, I received an email with an invite for the final round in Tysons. It started with a brief introduction and some food, and then each candidate was placed in a room where the interviewers would rotate about every 40 minutes. Two of the three interviews were a mixture of conversation/technical, and one of them is a case interview. As it was my first case, I thought that I did well but not good enough. I received an automated email within business days informing me that I did not get the positions due to a limited number of positions (I was hoping to get feedback). Overall, the process was extremely enjoyable and everyone I met at EY was very professional. EY also paid for a hotel and reimbursed for food/gas expenses.

    Initial phone screen with recruiter. Then a technical phone screen. After, I cleared the phone screen, had 3 30 min interviews on Skype. 1 technical with senior manager and 2 behavioral with another senior manager and director. Interviewers were quite friendly. Mostly look for cultural fit.Process was slow but recruiter was extremely friendly and helpful and kept me in loop.

    EY first made contact through on campus recruiting. First round interviews were on campus and consisted of a 30min behavioral. Final round (mega-day) they flew candidates out to Dallas for a networking event/dinner followed by 3 (45min) interviews the next day. 2 interviews were behavioral (very conversational), the third was a business case. Basically evaluating you based on your ability to understand essential business concepts and then to design a solution incorporating core technology concepts and communication skills.
