A friend had just started working at the director level in Product and referred me to a C-level associate for an in-house interview. I sat down for an hour with the C-level associate, and another hour with the engineering team

Interview questions were basic discovery, geared to my experiences and acquired skill set in running my previous co, which had ceased to become profitable and hence the new job search.

Interview process was relatively fast. Had the initial over-the-phone screening which was later followed by a 5-hour onsite with different team members. Each team member I met with had their own series of technical questions aside from the managers, which asked more general people-focused questions.

Question 1
Explain what happens between the time a user clicks on a link and the next page appearing.
The technical portion of the interview consisted of coding a landing page with different form fields. The requirements stated each form field needed to be validated before submission to the server and if any errors occurred, those were to be aggregated and shown to the user at the top of the page in a single block. Additionally, the username field needed to make an API call to verify that the chosen username was unique.
