Two interviews, one with the students for 30 min and one with the panel for almost one hour including Q&A

This is the worse and inadequate interview in my life for more than 20 years experience. They interview you such that during the interview they indirectly tell you: “ we do not need you”. They are not even qualified to interview someone and am sure they have someone in mind or they are just following some protocol to get rid of candidates.
Anyway, be careful when you chose your next employer!

Entretien

Upon arrival was told that the interviewers were “slightly delayed”. Little did I know this meant over an hour! It would have been more professional to have called me prior to arrival, to inform of this delay, instead of being expected to sit there twiddling my thumbs.

I was then directed to a room to sit an excel test. This test required me to sort through some given data and format the numbers to the nearest whole number and perform a less than function to find student marks who scored less than 40 in their modules. During this time the phone rang, which I found very distracting. I let them know of this after the test was finished.

After the test, I had to wait another half an hour! I finally had the chance to have my face to face interview with 2 panelists, although the email did state there would be 3. There was no apology for the absence.

Once the interview started it became very obvious that the panelists were very inexperienced in conducting interviews. They did not make any effort to build a rapport and there were awkward breaks between the questions asked. There was not a smooth transition between questions as I had expected. They were unsure if they were asking the right questions and repeatedly referred to their paperwork.

At the end of the interview, I had the opportunity to ask some questions. It was apparent that the lead panellist was intimidated by the questions I was asking and was not prepared for them. One of which was progression routes.

This left me questioning whether this would be the right role for me, as having an inexperienced Manager can lead to frustration and high staff turnover. Especially, in the case where they lack interpersonal skills.

I view it as a lucky escape to not have been successful but to be honest, after waiting over an hour to be interviewed, I may have lost the drive to succeed.

**Note to self** - Never wait that long for an interview again! It speaks volumes for the professionalism of the company.

The interview had three stages with heavy tasks for teaching. in the first stage I discussed with HR and other faculty stuff regarding my information about the post. Then, in the second part I gave three presentations regarding my research and two teaching topics At the final stage they assigned me to a teamworking task. They invited for all rounds however at the end they didn't accept me.

Applied for the job online and waited a couple of weeks for an interview invite via email. I was looking forward to interviewing for this role only to discover what they were really looking for was someone who knew HTML well but were also a content officer ... almost impossible!

The interview took approximately 45 minutes but I did not like the way I was asked the questions, each question had about 3 - 4 parts to it and this seemed unnecessary. I was also put off by the fact you are literally in a glass box next to a main walkway past the lifts so every time someone walks past you can see the interviewers mind wander - very off-putting!

The interview involved a 45 minute task, which was done at the end, seemed a bit like overkill.

I applied and was contacted to attend an interview within two weeks. I was interviewed by a panel of individuals, and then undertook a 25 minute test on a computer.

The interview process included a 10 min presentation on any area of the law for first year law students. There was an hour lunch break where candidates were able to meet current staff from the law department. There was a formal interview with a panel of 5 people including a psychologist after lunch. The formal interview lasted about 15-20 minutes.

Once I filled and submitted an online application, I was called in for a 30 minute interview. The interview was conducted by two individuals who could be considered as peers only, because the 'supervisor' was called away on another meeting (unprofessional)! The entire interview process was uncomfortable and uninviting. I would consider holding an interview with an HR department would be an exceptional experience, considering they are aware of the processes.

Not once, did I meet a supervisor or a manager. A very strange process indeed. Poor representation of the University.

Interview with HR and department management. Asked general questions, went through application and employment history. Some challenging questions. Took longer than expected. Did not provide clear help or feedback on how to improve.

Very friendly environment. The interview had two parts. First 30 minutes presentation and q and a. The second part was a panel interview with the Head of department and the potential line manager along with one person from hr. Overall very good experience.
