    Initially recruiter called me based on Linkedln profile. Had a Phone inteview one week later. It was good. Asked deep SQL questions and .NET questions for 1.5 hr. After that have a Face-to Face. There were 2 people, one director and one manager. They asked every thing from resume. I cant even remember what I did 8 yrs back. They asked design Patterns, UML etc and SQL Problem solving

    The process took 1 month, 2 phone 1 skype and 2 onsite interviews. The process was really smooth and recruiter provided me feedback at each step. After the final round of interview I got a call that they are willing to give an offer and would start finalizing date. The next day recruiter asked me about my status in US and wanted to gain more information. Before 1st round of interview it self I clearly mentioned that I have OPT EAD care and will require future sponsorship then only they proceeded with next interviews. After giving verbal offer she was trying to figure out what is my status and how it works. She did not had any idea regarding international students ans status they have. I explained her everything and suggested her links of USCIS. She started digging more information and asked her Manager about the status and getting back to me saying it's company policy that they don't hire OPT - EAD students. I was like how can you say this after all these rounds and giving me an offer. She made a big mistake and misunderstood about my status at very beginning perhaps she never cared to dig information that time which shows unprofessional-ism. I was thrown back by this behavior and wrote to everyone person involved in the procedure about this, but nobody helped me out.
    I have never seen such an awful situation. Because of recruiter mistake I had to suffer. I though everything in interview was good but recruiter lacked general knowledge that she should have and other people in company also never though of looking into the matter. I felt very disappointed.

    The first phone interview was very basic and designed to just make sure you can have a conversation. They must have a lot of candidates to filter through because this interview was very short. The second interview was a technical interview. It lasted about 30 minutes and consisted of questions about C#, SQL, and .NET. The questions were not very in depth and were to prove I am a programmer without going into what level I am at.

    Company seems to be not organize on the proj., when recruitment contacted me the position has WCF, i declined and told her the i don't have any experience on it. So she gave me different position which does not have that. All interviews went well, until the to the project interview, that was suppose to be a project manager, but turned out to be a project lead, the interview suddenly became question of WCF and security on services, which confuses me became i dont have any experience at all. I mentioned that to the interviewer and told him that "is this the correct position i am applying at?" he said actually the project is more into that.

    After the interview i emailed the recruiter and told her that we have spoken about the position that i have less to none experience on thos stuff. She just replied "Thank you for interviewing, i will get back to you once i connect with him "

    I was contacted for a phone interview with HR, a second phone interview with a technical employee for any questions I had, and an on-site interview. The on-site interview consisted of two one-on-one interviews and group presentation, roleplaying as consultants.

    I began with a phone interview to go over my resume. There were also several questions to gauge my interest in technology overall.

    Then I had a second interview with a current employee to discuss the position. The interviewer seemed unprepared and was unable to answer some of my questions about consultant work.

    Finally I had an on-site interview. There were 6 applicants total. We were given more information about the company, benefits package, and the job. Each applicant had a 1-on-1 interview with a manager which was largely relaxed. We were each asked to write a page discussing the core values of the company. We were also given a team exercise and asked to present to several of the managers.

    I was underwhelmed with the process. It felt poorly organized and some of the tasks seemed to lack direct relevance to the position.

    I had an employee referral, just for full-disclosure. After approving my resume I had one phone interview with a HR employee. It was not very technical and just ask general critical thinking questions and explaining technology questions. Then they contacted me about meeting at my schools career fair which happen to be in the coming week so we could just meet face to face and chat before the interview in the coming weeks. The interview day was at their office and consisted of a nice overall experience they had us in a room with other interviewees and recent new hires to talk to while we waited. There was a written interview questions and short essay part. The actual interview was with some upper management and asked some technical questions but also was interested in how you could handle learning new things. I had no experience with any of the microsoft technology they used but had a broad knowledge of other technologies.

    • Although I don't know if it counted but i guess everything does. They gave a list of 15 items and if you got stranded on a boat in the middle of the ocean rank them by importance. It is a coast guard test.   Répondre à cette question
