Overall this was a pretty straightforward interview. The recruiter was very knowledgeable and the manager showed a lot of excitement about where the team is going. Didn't move forward but had a good experience talking to the Asana team. They wanted to know about my quota attainment and what types of outbound prospecting I do - again, pretty straightforward.

Quick call with a recruiter, and supposed follow up on next steps. Had to reach out a few times and given zero response or feedback. Then an auto response about the position. I know it’s their job but with all the talk of the importance of people, just seems like it’s all lip service.

Recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn regarding a hybrid marketing/sales development position. Had a zoom call a couple of days later. Recruiter didn’t bother to turn their camera on.
The recruiter began to tell me about the role. As they progressed it became increasingly clear that they didn’t actually know what role they were interviewing me for. I asked about the hybrid role and was told my experience was inadequate. Unusual considering the recruiter contacted me specifically about this role. Recruiter proceeded to tell me two regular SDR roles were available; one in the UKI market and another for DACH.
I made it very clear I was not interested in the DACH role, yet the recruiter insisted this was the role best suited to me.
Extremely frustrating experience. Asana seems like an incredibly exciting company to work for, but this was very disappointing.
