Contacted by a recruitment agency about the position. The first step was a telephone interview. It was just my luck that it was particularly busy that day at work and although I managed to get away for the interview I had horrible signal and the interviewer's call cut out when she tried to ring me. Horrified I rang her back thinking it was all over already but she was neutral about it and the interview continued. It was standard scenario questions and she gave nothing away. I finished thinking I probably didn't impress her enough. Got a call within the next few days inviting me for a face to face interview. I was shocked but encouraged and prepared for it as well as I could. I interviewed with the head of the department and I got quite intimidated by him I admit. The interview involved a case study and again some scenario based questions. I thought I really performed horribly; the observations I made on the case study he countered. The scenario questions didn't go too well in my opinion either. I came out of that interview feeling totally silly and expecting no offer at all. It was a shock to receive a call straight away saying I had got an offer...I obviously made some kind of impression!
