    They did not show up for one interview and very rude on another one. Maybe I was an anomaly, but it was definitely an unpleasant experience.
    A lot of my friends had good experience with AMD, made me feeling like I was an outlier here.

    Due to COVID-19 all my interviews were done online. Through an employee referral, I went through three rounds of interviews.

    First one was 30 minutes, very casual and not technical. Explained my research interests and background.

    Second one was 1 hour, more technical. Again explained my interests and background, had some technical questions related to my work to test my competency in optimizing software.

    Third round consisted of three back to back 1 hour long interviews followed by a 1 hour meeting with the manager. Much deeper dive into my background on HPC, scientific application, and programming. Equal mix of technical and behavioral questions.

      - MPI basics
      - Optimizing GPU kernels
      - Coupling C/C++ and FORTRAN codes
      - Transposing a 2D pointer array

    Brief (~30 min) interview with the hiring manager to understand the position at AMD and also discuss my work background. Follow up interview with the hiring manager and members of the technical team with more in-depth technical questions, etc. that lasted ~75 mins. I would recommend doing some prep work for the technical interview (review of specs, etc). Overall, the questions were very reasonable and fair.

    After the second round recruiter mentioned they will reply back in a week...but they never got to it and even after following up asking for the update ...they never replied back.

    Applied through referrals (position is actually postdoc fellow in machine learning). Talked to the manager and then had a phone screen with a senior researcher. Answered all questions and they seemed interested, but they are way too slow and if you don't follow up, they won't get back to you at all. The senior researcher seemed nice but mentioned doesn't have enough experience in machine learning. I don't know what's the point of interviewing postdoc applicants in the machine learning area and wasting their time, if you can't even find an appropriate interviewer who has enough expertise!

    2. After few days, got phone call with hiring manager
    3. Scheduled interview (phone call) with team director, discussion of experience and what they are looking for
    4. 3 rounds of phone call with different team members (India and US). Except one, rest 2 were technical in nature.
    5. Days passed, I sent follow-up email and then got call from HR with offer
