Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez 3M (Indianapolis, IN) en févr. 2012
Entretien
Approximately 60 days from application to first contact. All communication prior to site visit was via e-mail. Interviewed with 5 people over 4 1/2 hours. Was told when leaving to expect contact within 2 weeks, but they could work faster if I had a need. After 3 weeks I followed up with HR directly. HR stated that a decisionw as iminent "any day". No contact for another 10 days. Contacted HR when I had a second job offer and was told that I would hear back within 48 hours. It's now April and I haven't heard anything.
The site is a satellite facility and a wholly owned 3M LLC. It's apparent that the people on site have done more with less for a very long time. Everyone seemed willing to "do what it took" to get the job done. The commitment to process excellence was apparent, as was the understanding of the c ustomers served. I left believing this would be a place I really wanted to work - it's a shame the process took so long and expectations could not be clearly communicated.
I heard from another candidate that funding for the position was cut and it was going unfilled for at least three months. Would have been nice to hear that from HR directly.
Primary interview with recruiter to discuss role and expectations, secondary interview with department leads where they discussed culture and team fit along with daily tasks and responsibilities. Final offer supplied by company HR.

Interviewed while on vacation to kickoff, and completed final rounds the day after I returned from. Hiring manager asked questions related to my family, if I had kids, and any issues related to work availability. I never received a follow-up or any detail on the final outcome after emailing numerous times.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus de 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez 3M (Murray, UT) en juill. 2016

The process began with the hiring manager, not a phone screen from HR. This was unusual, but very much appreciated. The next step was an interview with the team. This consisted of approx 6-8 people. The questions were standard behavior interview questions, with some specific questions for the position itself.
The challenge was the follow-up process post interview. From beginning (first interview) to end (formal rejection from HR) was two and a half months. In fairness, I was the first candidate the team interviewed, but to me it was not very professional to 1. have to wait that long for a final answer 2. to receive the rejection from HR instead of the hiring manager. It would have been much classier if the hiring manager would have delivered the bad news.
Right now, the HIS division has received a large influx of capital from 3M to grow the business. So, they are hiring and expanding. The challenge, as is usually the case in these situations, is they really aren't sure how to implement these expansion efforts, and they have key persons in positions that do not have HIT specific experience. As time goes on it will be interesting to see if HIS is able to truly capitalize on their plans.
