Avantages

Conducting meaningful work. The researchers I worked with were all very passionate about their projects and the lab was working towards groundbreaking discoveries, all in a friendly and collaborative environment.

Inconvénients

Not enough funding and lab space. We had to share the space with another team, resulting in lack of space.

    Avantages

    Great working environment.
    Good people to work with.
    Rewarding tasks, at least for me.

    Inconvénients

    Not enough money for capital equipment replacements.
    Sometimes upper management doesn't always value the expertise that technical staff have to offer, and what they do in the background to keep everything running.

    Conseils à la direction

    Must allow for a plan to replace ALL equipment and stick to the schedule. Otherwise, failures increase, causing health care to suffer. Staff and patients become frustrated at the delays, due to failures.
