    Fantastic benefits, campus, amenities, people.

    Inconvénients

    Inbound call center, no time to call out on assigned claims.

    Conseils à la direction

    Pick either an inbound call center with no file ownership, or allow your adjusters to put time into their claims. The environment trying to do both was toxic. Constant blame of coworkers because if they don't handle it "someone else will" and frustration from members.

    some managers think they are God and love to play it. upper mgmt. needs to keep an eye on what is going on in the daily work environment and keep some mgrs. on a tight leash if at all

    open your eyes to your so called Golden Children that do no right... if you don't manage your managers and put them in there place and listen to your employees you wont have any good ones that really care about your members left. Start practicing what you say are your values. Great Company, great fellow employees but your floor managers need more training, a little more personality and a lot less favoritism. If your not...

    - This is NOT the ideal job for anyone that is not accustomed to working in a fast-paced and stressful environment... Claims adjusters at USAA are always BUSY! - This is NOT the ideal job for anyone who is accustomed to working "banker's" hours or only accustomed to working 40 hours a week.     Focus on hiring candidates with retail/hospitality/food service experience. These individuals would not only be able to handle the fast-paced workload, but they welcome (with open arms) the stable work schedule of an Auto Claims Adjuster, even with the slightly non-traditional 11:00 am - 7:30 pm shifts.

    Comparable benefits to other companies- but not over the top great

    The current CEO and board of the last two years has demolished employee satisfaction. It is no longer a company that cares about employees- rather a company like all the others where the CEO & board only care about their bonuses. They are slashing jobs left and right.     Focusing on your bottom line and just numbers on a spreadsheet isn’t going to get you anywhere in the long run if all your employees are leaving, demoralized and in no mood to give “ superior “ service- thus making customers angry and having them leave or blow up your company on social media.

    Schedules are horrible, Extreme micromanagement!!!!!, Management treats employees like high school students. Underpaid. USAA likes to preach about how they have work life balance. Don’t believe a word of it. There is zero work life balance with this company.

    You spent a lot of money training your employees try treating your employees like a licensed professionals instead of high school children. Start practicing what you preach about Importance of family and work life balance. Address employees concerns rather than pretending they don’t exist.

    Company culture was outstanding. They truly value their employees and customers. Main campus in San Antonio offers many perks such as coffee shops and a pretty good cafeteria. Gym is nice on site as well. Overall, management in property claims was fair. The front line managers were respectful of their teams and communication was above average, in my experience.     Inconvénients

    Call center type of environment while handling inbound claims. Phone time strictly monitored (good thing in some regard) but could be difficult to thoroughly update or complete claims if members could not remain on the phone. Silos between different levels of adjusters, could lead to frustration from time to time. To be fair, this happens at many larger organizations.

    Improve structure of time allotment for teams to review and update existing claims. The push for adjusters to constantly be on the phone taking new claims was difficult at times.
