    Avantages

Great portfolio of brands, hard workers doing the best they can in difficult circumstances, despite not being rewarded. New office location in a great part of the city in Melbourne.

    Inconvénients

Where to start. What looks amazing with share price performance is masking the culture in the company which continues to decline. Continual job cuts in many areas of the business, but the work doesn’t go away it just gets given to others to do on top of their already busy schedule, and no financial reward for doing so. Bonuses are only for the senior managers while everyone else gets tiny salary increases despite... strong results year after year, it’s not all about the shareholders guys! As for the senior leadership team, if you’re not a woman then good luck getting there. The TWEforShe program was a great step forward but in reality it’s the women senior leaders that get let go to be replaced by males. I used to love working here but it’s not the place it was, share price success has come at a cost and many I’ve spoken to are either looking elsewhere or hoping they are caught up in the next round of changes, which never seem far away.

    Conseils à la direction

Reward your staff, they are working their hardest with leaner and leaner teams but more work, don’t cost cut the business to breaking point.

    Avantages

Culture of change which requires some people to learn, adapt & be flexible. The company implements changes very quickly. The few selected "stars" & favoured ones can make a really good career with development opportunities, periodic promotions/benefit & bonus reviews etc. Unfortunately, the majority of people do not fall into this category.

    Inconvénients

Change implementation happens quickly, mostly without proper project planning, which drives many inefficiencies and causes frictions in teams and overall negatively impacts the staff morale. Despite promoting Diversity & Inclusion as well as cost cutting/savings etc. , the leadership team/senior managers preach water and drink wine.

    Conseils à la direction

The company is too big to behave like a start up. The use of The Bell curve in performance appraisal is quite common, however at TWE, this is very subjective and even though some people do not leave, they do not perform as well as they could and company does not get the best out of their employees.

    Avantages

Great products, above average compensation, awesome modern Global Headquarters office and amenities.

    Inconvénients

The hubris and lack of empathy that is seen at all levels of the organization is extraordinary. Toxic culture and high staff turnover. Out tasking of core functions to Accenture will bite them long term.

J'ai travaillé chez Treasury Wine Estates à temps plein plus de 3 ans

    Avantages

Portfolio of brands is stunning. But they keep cutting costs, swapping wine programs and generally sweating the equity out of some beautiful brands. Truly sad... So many amazing people. Honestly, for a company that has such a bad reputation and treats people so badly, they attract some of the best people I've worked with. Passionate, smart, hard working. So much better than company leadership deserves...

    Inconvénients

Oh, where to start? Fundamentally, senior leadership is terrible. Obsessively focused on short term optics with no thought of building a sustainable entity and no focus at all on vision, strategy or plans. Knee jerk reactions, rampant cost cutting and zero focus on or commitment to people. The worst kind of corporate greed straight out of the 80's! The difference between actual operations and the narrative put into... the marketplace is shocking...

    Conseils à la direction

Stop sucking the business dry. You have some wonderful brands, some incredible properties and some amazing people. Value what you've got and don't treat it all as some disposable assets to use, abuse & discard. Try some honesty, some humanity, maybe even a little leadership. Show some resolve, establish a vision and build something for the future, not for this fiscal...

    Avantages

Good products, good pricing and good new product development

    Inconvénients

Every few years there are layoffs/re-orgs in field sales...People lose their jobs for no reason other than some new VP decides to do it "their way"...Silly

    Conseils à la direction

Don't hire for areas that aren't considered long term...people invest years sometimes to little long term avail. Life is not fair, granted...but think about your actions and how impacts sales.
