Avantages
I have been working for Gilead for more than 5 years and have always been happy with the culture, work-life balance and compensation.
Inconvénients
They recently changed the flexibility to work from home and now everyone has been asked to work from the office three days per week

I think all this depends on your department and manager, but so far my experience has been incredible after a year of working here in the Foster City location. -Excellent life/work balance. -Push you to work out or being active in general -They care about your wellbeing in general (bloodwork, free or low cost access to mental health platforms) -High end gym and workout classes -Give you HUGE amount of money to expend on wellbeing activities/stuff -Healthy food that is not expensive -Free food trucks 2 days a week! -The best PARTIES and celebrations ever -Engages and creates awareness regarding the celebrations of different ethnics groups. -2 weeks of shutdown (and this is not counting your PTO) -They put their hearth in every march we participate in -Upper management and CEO always around people and very involved in everything that is going on. -Have hundreds of courses and classes to improve your career -Constantly signing me in courses in person to improve my current position. -Transparency regarding your career opportunities inside Gilead. In general the benefits are so many that probably I've forget many, but these are my favorites so far.
Inconvénients
Not in my case, but I have a friend which his manager/department is very workaholic, and they barely give her time to even have lunch or work in a slower pace when she is not feeling the best. Again, depends lot on your manager and group, which in my case, is completely the opposite.
