    Even after the initial excitement and novelty has worn off, I still find Equal Experts a very exciting and novel place to work. I came from a financial background and have previously contracted with clients either through agencies that wouldn't really care as long as their get their percentage or directly where office politics took hold.     - Sudden growth is causing a real damage to the core culture of the company - Sometimes unnecessary importance is given to policies like WFH and that makes the new joiners question whether it's really a company of grown ups. No one misuses it, even if someone does, handle that specific case, don't make policies around it. It's not an incentive. - Compromises on practices like TDD, enough test coverage (its not just...

    - Set up a process to groom potential leads. The up-skilling initiative was good but somehow died. - Invest in internal tools like payday and others. With the kind of growth company is experiencing, it will be really helpful. - Have the senior folks visit every project once in a while to look from an outsider's perspective. - Keep up the good work, it is one of the rare companies with such a great set of people.

    Avantages

    The global EE network is amazing. A lot of learning if you get to work with people from that network. Many good focused slack groups for a wide variety of topics ranging from delivery, technology, devops, security etc.

    Inconvénients

    A lot of the good people from Pune office have moved out in a couple of years and the new ones that have joined are nowhere close even if they're experienced. EE Pune is heavily under staffed and the management is still happily signing up for new work and team expansion on existing projects. This leading to a lot of issues like no one to work on new inititatives like upskilling, R&D etc. Also, the earlier good...

    Please give up some work and free up senior people to work on the necessary initiatives. Listen and act on the feedback given by employees regarding how things can be improved. Bring back the earlier hiring process of letting the candidate go instead of figuring out if he'll do on a particular project. Also, if some of the panels are not convinced for a candidate, listen to them rather than convince them.

    Avantages

    Lot of opportunities to learn new technologies. Provides flexibility to choose technologies. All the people are easily accessible and share a lot with the new members. Mentoring is there but not formal. Flexible work hours and work from home. EE UK network is great and lot of expertise.

    Inconvénients

    Company and projects moving away from the values they preach and publish. People are forced to ignore quality for timelines agreed without discussion with the teams. India operations merely looking to get billable people instead of quality. HR policies are at whim's of few people and change overnight. Appraisals are delayed just a way of retention.     Instead of asking feedback for people when they leave, better listen to them when they are in the organisation. Make people feel appreciated . Transparency is missing as compared to EE UK. People are just given responsibilities but authority is missing. Don't lower the recruitment quality bar it has already started hitting the overall quality.

    My interactions with this company have had a pattern of neglect and lack of respect from day one. From the HR person completely missing my interview slot without notice, to them cancelling a project (that both sides had committed on) last minute and me having to chase them to actually learn about it, little concern has actually been given to having professional & respectful communication.     Get on top of managing the great people that you have in your network, please. Don't ignore the people that have made it through the selection process, don't over promise and communicate pertinent information as soon as possible.

    1. XP and Agile practices are actually followed and not just paid lip service. 2. Flexible hours and WFH allowed 3. Generous profit sharing. 4. Free evening snacks. 5. Flat organisational structure and open culture

    Inconvénients

    1. Onsite opportunities are drying up. 2. Even though it's a software consultancy, actual client consultation is uneven across the projects. 3. The office is very nice inside, but the IT park (cerebrum) is poorly maintained.

    I’ve worked in several projects, working with best of breed developers, BA and DL. Is a flat company.

    Inconvénients

    I’ve worked in 5 projects, only one was not great, mainly for internal politics and, from point of view bad leadership.
