    You learn a lot, can work on a variety of engagements, there is good structure in management.

    Training and quality of CPE is inconsistent. The company has started a new branding effort along with some cliched corporate "rah-rah" nonsense over the past 2 years which is annoying and confusing. Busy season is a drag, but it's probably no worse than any other firm (probably somewhat better, given comments I've heard from folks who have come in from other firms).     Cool it with the pep rallies. They are silly and embarrassing and there are more people who hate them than like them. More emphasis is needed on improving the quality of internal CPE programs and standardizing training (the LEAP program isn't cutting it, especially the remote portions).

There are times when someone else drops the ball and I have to pick it up.     Continue to offer and support flexibility in the workplace with respect to how/when/where the work is getting done. Make more of an effort to recognize the people who do things for benefit the office, even if it isn't chargeable (Fun Committee, YAC, Recruiting, Coaching, etc) - don't beat them down, because those are the intrinsically motivated people who will drive the firm forward.

    If you raise your hand and/or speak up, you will get opportunities. The firm is very focused on helping you reach career goals. Flexible work situation opportunities, provided it works for your team. I have appreciated the coaching and feedback model.

    My main Con is the very outdated parental leave policy. Employees - new mothers and fathers - get ONE PAID WEEK - off. The rest of a parental leave has to be a patchwork of PTO, short-term disability, or for some, no pay. I think that is unacceptable for a nearly $2 billion firm.     Let's stop pretending like we can do it all - forming "councils" to tackle diversity and inclusion, social media, public relations, and other initiatives are too important to do trial and error. We are way behind and starting to look silly among top peers. Let's start investing in outside resources to come in and help us do things right and also professionally.

    Great place for recent grads to explore public accounting. They have a career building strategy that helps new hires reach their personal career goals, even if it’s not within the firm. Benefits are great. PTO is nice during slow season. Usually friendly staff. Perks at work discounts. Remotely work if necessary.

    Need to be thick skinned and strong minded to survive. No real appreciation unless you’re one of the higher ups. Work life balance is lopsided. I wouldn’t recommend working here if you have a family or have health issues. Budget hours are tough if you’re in tax; capture as many as possible early in the year.     Horribly behind the times. Very cheap, not great benefits either. Horribly disorganized and right hand does not know what the left hand does.
