    Employé actuel - Employé anonyme
    Employé actuel - Employé anonyme

    Avantages

Help people everyday to protect and preserve their assets! Build lifetime relationships with both clients and coworkers. Great training from knowledgeable management. Definitely a money opportunity. Hard work pays off! Great support from dedicated managers.

    Inconvénients

A lot of turn over. People give up way too quickly.

    Conseils à la direction

Keep doing what you're doing! It is working!

Je travaille chez Bankers Life à plein temps (Moins d'un an)

    Avantages

100% commissions so unlimited potential, work/life balance is really good after 1st year, "if you don't like the people you work with you can change them". The company promotes from within and certainly put in training $. I have NEVER had a job the pays out the types of bonus simply for doing your job. It is SIMPLE NOT EASY--that's what we say.

    Inconvénients

100% commissions so dig deep and go for it, be prepared to "struggle" for the first 3 months. By that I mean if you are new to Insurance it may be overwhelming therefore appointment setting and closing might be a challenge. You have a "mentor" for the first 3 months though and if they do their job correctly you will be ok.

    Conseils à la direction

When interviewing you should let us know some of the possible struggles ahead, its not all roses and unicorns.

Je travaille chez Bankers Life à plein temps (Plus d'un an)

    Avantages

    •Flexibile schedule
•Great company and local branch culture
•Financial incentives (especially for new agents)
•Great opportunities to advance into management
    •Great learning opportunities
•Financial rewards can be VERY good
    •Office incentives
There are some really incredible people in this business! In the Springfield office, Andy Paladino, Branch Sales Manager, Philip Fleming, Unit Sales Manager, and John Briggs, Unit Supervisor were instrumental in helping me transition from secondary education to my current work in financial services and new agent training. They will all mean different things to you (functionally/emotionally) but when you find these people, latch on to them and let them mentor you into being a successful new agent!

    Inconvénients

    •Lots to learn!
•Customer acquisation can be tough at the beginning
I’m struggling to come up with more “cons.” With a mindset for success and hardwork, you will succeed. Most people who fail in this career are simply not dedicated to doing the work and/or following the advice and training of mentors.

    Conseils à la direction

Continue to improve on technology including web interfaces.
Continue to invest heavily in training.
Give Andy Paladino, Springfield, MO BSM a big hug for creating an office culture that I look forward to every day!

Je travaille chez Bankers Life à plein temps (Pendant plus de 3 ans)

    Avantages

Make your own schedule, unlimited income, great people to work with. Lots of room for growth. I have doubled my income every year so far. I had no prior sales experience .

    Inconvénients

Have to work hard and be prepared to take the highs and the lows. It’s a sales job which means you get paid for effort not time served

J'ai travaillé chez Bankers Life en Contrat Permanent

    Avantages

The work hours are flexible most days of the week.

    Inconvénients

Other than the three days of initial training, you receive no guidance and no help with your day to day. Normally that would be fine, but when the job is commission only, it has a terrible effect.
Also don't trust the leads, none of them lead anywhere, and most of the people I contacted about them had no memory of asking for info.

Je travaille chez Bankers Life à plein temps (Pendant plus de 5 ans)

    Avantages

I wish I would have found my Career with Bankers Life many years ago. Despite that, hard work and dedication to my goals has rewarded me well with the Career that has changed my life and the lives of those around me. I get to help people every day, make a difference in their lives, help them make plans that will provide a safe and secure future. Helping people retire the way they want to is job one. Customer service is at the core. I am rewarded well for doing a "job" that I love. I started as an agent, worked my way up. I am still and agent. I still serve my clients, but I wear a leader hat now, too, and get to lead a team of great individuals. Working in a like-minded culture and environment that believes in "Team" instead of "I" and one that places value on integrity and a job well done has allowed me to find a home and the last "job" I will ever do--a career for life!

    Inconvénients

It takes motivation and hard work to be successful. It takes a driven, positive, and focused individual to reap the greatest rewards. Personally, I see these as positive attributes, but some may feel otherwise. Your investment of time, grit, and perseverance will pay off.

    Conseils à la direction

Always keep the Team concept at the forefront! It works! Continually growing the great culture in-house is the key to internal growth and in raising a crop of successful, happy agents.
