    Flexible schedule I guess, but you come early and work a lot of you want to make any money

    Lots of potential bonus and great incentives.

    Inconvénients

    Don't know about other offices, but mine was toxic and for a second, i thought i was back in high school. You have to really sell if you want to make the potential earnings they "promise."

    Avantages

    Can schedule your own time. Generally Nice people to work with. Nice job if you REALLY love sales and a challenge. If it goes good at first and IF you do meet with a few business owners that is willing to let you set up a group, it can be rewarding cause of the work life balance and pay is quick.

    Inconvénients

    Need a base to start off. Better training. Once you go through your circle of family and friends its very hard. Make sure you have enough money in bank for a few months cause normally takes awhile to get going. Not for most people. All about who you know(business owners) to get the business groups started. All focused on getting just the business groups in order to get good pay. Not direct sales. Set up to play the... bonus game. . Has a pyramid scheme feel to it. Definetly over saturated market.

    Make your own hours. Gained a lot of sales experience.

    Inconvénients

    Ethics do not matter. Only numbers. You will not make what the recruiter says. You are on the hook to pay for everything and will make a small amount. Take a different job!

National incentives for trips and annual Convention. Products help people, fastest claims paying in the industry. Worthy charitable contributions and community involvement.

    High agent turnover, particularly new(er) agents due to no salary nor agent financing to upstart career ... this lends itself to a less quality pool of candidates. Commissions are typically lower than competitors', particularly in the residual stream. Too many businesses complaining of how many times they've been called upon by agents (adherence to Do Not Call List is helping), While having a good time, receiving... recognition, and camaraderie is certainly noteworthy, sales events typically are way too much rah-rah and drinking the Aflac kool-aid ... and not enough emphasis on receiving mentoring from truly successful and respected veteran agents. Training has gotten better with break-out sessions, corporate/national input, and with respect to brokers and how an agent can partner with them. However, the workload and time constraints to bring on enough accounts and/or direct clients in order to create enough income, particularly in the earlier months and years just to survive, let alone thrive, can be daunting to say the least.

    In my opinion what's needed is less but more professional agents, more professional education and sales training, and alternative business/income models (could be business start-up financing, increased 1st year commissions without decreased residuals, benefits, providing mentors, or comp/consideration if qualified/able to mentor, or a combination of some/all, etc..) to attract these folks ... from young bright... talent, to seasoned professionals. Push for qualified agents to partner with other respected financial professionals to not only educate and serve clients more fully and create more income opportunities, but to increase Aflac's respect within the financial and broker communities. Advertise to respected brokers why they should work with Aflac's "Broker Select" qualified Aflac professionals, and direct them to the portal/medium where they can be found in their area.

    Very little support after brief training!

    Management needs to support their new hires more. Local supervisor didn't even know I had been hired and I was told to just work on my own for several days during the initial 3 weeks of training. According to the official training schedule, new agents are supposed to be with their supervisors daily during the 3 weeks of training! Overall, lots of big promises at first that yielded no results!

    No base salary Hard specifics of contract agent job - you are independent and that's all, you are not en employee and nobody care what are you doing exactly right or wrong So it is good work only for specific people
