flexible perks package is great
It hypes itself up really well, but the health benefits are a below average the pay is below industry minimums.
Benefits are offered at no additional cost to the employee, even when switching from single to family coverage. Super simple and easy to submit claims and get support. Vision is not covered, though, which is strange considering we're all staring at computers all day
Shopify provides a progressive benefits package that allows employees to self-direct where their funds are spent, everything from lifestyle products to enhancing your dental package.
Around $5,000 as benefit and stock option. Lots of people are taking vacation. It’s hard to get promotion, so it’s better to negotiate before you join.
Interns receive nice perks and the cushier type of benefits, but not necessarily many of the basic benefits that typically go along with a full-time job. I understand that full-time employees receive many more benefits than I did. Interns do receive 1 day of paid vacation per month (these are money-able at the conclusion of the internship).
Great team, great entry salary, great remote work option.
Housing benefit doesn't completely cover cost of housing in most cases. Not a common thing in Canada but would have been nice.
There is no extended health coverage for an intern. Some interns are hired for 8 months so this can be a long time without dental, prescription coverage, etc.
They really invest in their employees development and health (mentally and physically)
