I believe if you are a hard worker and are one of the people that get this they slightly increase your hourly pay. Also there are other times everyone in kitchen gets free meal if they keep their average time for Breakfast, lunch or supper rush below a "goal time".
It's 20 cents every 6 months.
When you performed well at McDonalds, they gave you the opportunity to have things such as free ice creams, meals etc. If you kept these cards, you had the opportunity to win bigger prizes. I was given three gift cards over my time while working there for excellent performance.
I myself have never received one, but it's like 0.05/hr
If some days are really busy or stressful, and you still keep it cool and do your job well, they will give you free meals, or a free dessert or something. At the end of each year, you get a raise if you've been a great worker.
Mcdonalds pays you more, simply for working for mcdonalds
The performance increases were puny (only 20 cents for the best workers) and, to a large extent, biased. Some managers gave you bad performance reviews simply because you were on their "F-list".
