The Share Ownership Plan is awesome. For every dollar you pay in, Manulife matches $0.50.
Group benefit is awesome. Low bonus rate compared to others though
best: Flexible working hours and schedule.
Health insurance including vision, dental, prescriptions, health care providers etc. Basic life insurance 1x salary but that could be increase for an additional premium which was very affordable. Also critical illness coverage was available to purchase as well. Stock option plan with employer/employee contributions. Defined contribution pension plan with employer added contributions for additional deposits made. Also there was a group RRSP.
Share purchase plan, health benefits (including $10k per year for mental health), can allocate portion of benefits to wellness and general health (eg. gym membership)
Flexible, can be somewhat tailored to needs
Although the benefits were good you would think as a company that sells benefits to others it would have been better. Every year the benfits cost more and you would get less coverage.
Covers the basics with better than average benefits on certain aspects. Dental, Prescription, Eyecare, Mental and Physical health perks as well
pros - flexible, wellness day cons - n/a
The apparent stated goal of the benefits designers in Human Resources seems to be that Manulife will be "average". The pay is average, the health and dental benefits are average, etc. Nothing seems "market leader".
