Since this is a restaurant, you really can't expect all that kind of thing to immediately become a factor. You sort of have to work your way into the leadership team which is very exclusive, cliquey and nepotistic whilst hiding behind the facade of having to reward "the perfect JOEY partner" at the expense of actual merit or know-how.
