PROS: 1. Very decent package, can't complain. 500$ allowance per year (reimbursed 90%) for many separate categories (podiatrist, psychologist, massage therapist, etc), dental coverage, etc. Psychotherapy allowance up to 3000$ / year, which is amazing, but goes to show to what extent you need it while working there :-) 2. Easy to submit refund claims through Manulife's website (online, max 5 business days). You only rarely need to submit a copy of the receipt (random audits). Very convenient process. CONS: You get 10 personal days per year, and Manulife only reimburses you after the 5-day mark for Short Term Disability, even if you have a valid doctor's note. Before, they used to reimburse from day 1, which meant you weren't banking any personal days. It's a very stressful and demanding environment to work in for longer than 2 yrs, so those personal days tend to fly by for most. :)
Good coverage for mental health services. Little flexibility across services/ low coverage for basic needs like eye care
The health insurance has full coverage and the education benefit is pretty good
